After Sierra upgrade, volume overlay not centred: is there any way to re-centre it?

I bought an iMac (21.5-inch, retina; El Capitan, the latest) about 2 weeks ago. I just upgraded the OS to Sierra. The volume overlay, instead of being in the centre as it was in El Capitan, is now on the lower half. Is there any way to get it back to the centre?

iMac, macOS Sierra (10.12)

I had a chance to visit an Apple store today and found that the volume overlays of all the Sierra machines are no longer centred: they're at the bottom half of the screen. So, I guess, to answer my own question, the de-centred volume overlay is the new arrangement.
