I Have the same issue and same crash record reported to apple support six weeks ago still under investigation by their engineers have sent them all types of reports that they have requested me to do and tried all their options. They have told me to look out for an update in the last week which I am still to see so awaiting with abated breath.

Hi

Just to say I am having the same issue/s. I am also in contact with an Apple senior advisor, who tells me that an engineering team are working on the problem... but this has been ongoing for a few weeks now. Issue for me is with uploading a photo book large hardcover, with 100 pages. All workarounds suggested by Apple haven't worked and I don't want to split my photo book in two. I have successfully uploaded & ordered the soft backed books recently so I know nothing is wrong my end. I'm new to this communities forum, but I look at this thread to see if anyone has had any success.

Just to add, it's not just XL hard covers. I have had exactly this issue for the last couple of days trying to upload a soft cover 20cm x 20cm book, 96 pages. Just crashes around 55% into uploading. I've tried everything suggested, including home wifi, hard wired and tethering to 4G. it's not that, it's something broken in 'Photos'. Nothing's working for me!

Still no luck here either...

Today I tried copying my entire Photos library to another Mac - running the same version of Sierra and also Photos (photos won't open an earlier library anyway). On the second Mac, the exact same problem occurs when uploading the book around the 50% mark. So I now have the problem on 2 macs!

Also tried different internet connections, no joy.

Also being charged a $1 Apple Authorisation fee every time I attempt to upload!

The update from me is that a week or so ago I was in touch with an Apple representative to see if anything had been sorted. I was told that the engineers had reported back that

any fix would hopefully be part of a photos update at some future release date & too late for Christmas. I suggested Apple should prevent users from spending hours on a project if they knew it would fail at the ordering stage, but the response was the problem might not be affecting everyone.

I have been very disappointed with Apple & annoyed that I can't print something I have spent hours on and was hoping to give out to family this Christmas.

Dec 6, 2016 6:43 PM in response to smdd1024

Same happened to me 4 times, after varying % of upload completion between 45 and 70%. Thought it was screen saver at first but no. Here is the tricky part: American Express posted 4 "reserved" (announced) debits for 1E each. Have not materialized so far but I really hope I won't end up with 4 x 7 albums for about 3000Eur (!) where can one check iTunes order status? Very concerned here thanks. What a pitiful performance Apple.
