Quicktime Pro transfer question

I guess the only way to really know is to try it. I bought 3 QT pro keys in one year and never gave a thought if I could have just saved the registration info and try adding it on another computer, good question, give it a shot, but Apple has to be smarter than that...

First you must make sure your installed version is the same as that you purchased the key.
Version 6 keys will not work in version 7 so you may need to buy a new key.
If the versions are the same simply enter the registration info (from the confirmation email) into the "Register" fields (QuickTime Control Panel) using copy/paste.
Delete the registration from the older from the "old" PC so you're only using one copy of Pro.

I got rid of my machine w/QuickTime pro v7.x; intatlled and tried to register it on my new windows machine, it gives Invalid # msg. Who do I contact for help?
I do not want to buy another one.

QuickTime Pro is sold for two OS's and the keys are not interchangeable.
I guess you don't want "Pro" on the Windows machine.

I made an error. I assumed it was the same version as on my Mac.
This is for quicktime on windows.

I use v7 on my mac.

I installed it last year--9 mos ago. Is a newer version out since then?

I installed qt pro on a windows machine about 9 months ago. I sold it and bought a new win pc. Tried to register the qt and it gave me a invalid reg no. msg.
Could it be a new version, the reason i cannot reg?

I use ver 7.x on my mac. I do not know what ver i am running on the win. mach.

Any help?

Let's make this really clear.
Apple sells two versions (of the same product) known as QuickTime Pro.
The Windows version of the upgrade is $30. The Mac version is the same price.
The registration numbers are not interchangeable.
If you owned a Mac version of Pro and want to now use a Windows version you'll need to buy a new key (another $30).

You were entering info as I was replying and our messages crossed.
Each "key" is for an OS and a version number.
A "Mac" version 6 will not work with Mac version 7 (or on any version on a PC).
If you've bought Pro in the last (almost) two years you own Pro 7.
