Q: Imovie 10.1.2- clips added wont expand

I have imported a basketball game that is over 2 hours long and it is one single file. Looking to be able to watch it and clip it as I go but when its imported it only shows one frame so i cant clip it as i go. In the imovie on my laptop it expands out and i can clip it as i wish.

and on my laptop i can just click and drag rather than holding R which is very easy, but i would like to know how to expand the video file.

the screen shot is there after i added 2 games to the library

looking to see each of those files dragged out i guess is the best way to say it for ease of trimming
