Is my Macbook Pro use SSD or Flash Storage?

I bought Macbook Pro MF840. In specification it said that it will have 256GB SSD. But when I check in about this mac, the storage title is Flash Storage. It's confusing me. Is it different between SSD and Flash storage? And is my MBP is use SSD or flash storage?

If this is a 13" with Retina Display 2.7 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 8 GB RAM

I suspect your flash storage module is actually a PCIe architecture .

PCIe (peripheral component interconnect express,) is a high-speed serial expansion card format that uses a point-to-point architecture. PCIe-based flash has far better performance than more typical SATA- or SAS-connected solid-state drives (SSD) or flash because of the direct connection to peripherals.

In the most general terms it is the same 😉
