Hi elalce,

I understand that when trying to install the software for your Xerox Workcentre, you don't see the printer listed as a selection. I know it's important for your devices to work well together, so I'm happy to help.

Make sure that your iMac is up to date, and check out the troubleshooting that we have for printer issues here:

Hi elalce.

At that point drivers should be installed. You can safely quit the discovery panel. Click Continue then Continue at the next request and Quit.

Please have the IP address of your Xerox at hand. The printer must be turned on and connected to the LAN.

  • Open System Preferences -> Printers and Scanners
  • Unlock the padlock if it is locked
  • Click on the + button to add a new printer
  • Click IP on the button tool bar
  • Type the IP address of your Xerox
  • Choose either LPD or HP Jetdirect - Socket in the Protocol box (be sure the one you chose or both are enabled on the Xerox printer)
  • leave the Queue field empty
  • Pick up a name and type it in the Name box
  • You can leave the Location box empty
  • In Use choose the correct Xerox model
  • Click Add
