Q: 5 apple products = no available devices

Hi,

So, I'm hooked on Apple products, love the aesthetics, reliability and integration.  I've got Apple TV, iMac 27" Retina, Apple Watch 2, iPad Air and an iPhone 7 Plus 128Gb on it's way to replace my 5s so that's 5 devices authorised and bound to my Apple ID.  I want to install iTunes on my work PC but can't authorise it due to all 5 IDs being in use.  Am I really being penalised for being a loyal customer of Apple products?

Somewhat annoyed.

The limit of 5 authorizations applies ONLY to computers.  Apple tv, watch, iPod, iphone, etc are not authorized and are not included in that number.

It sounds like you have reinstalled itunes or similar without reauthorizing.  Simply reauthorize all, then authorize the active computers.
