iMac Monitor Stand
Can you mount the new iMac 27inch to a monitor arm? I don't see anywhere for the installed stand to come off.

No, the stands are not removable in the sense that they can easily be adapted to a wall (VESA) mount. There is a special option when you order a new Mac to order one with the VESA mount adapter. Below is a screen shot from the Apple Technicians manual showing what has to be removed BEFORE you can remove the stand.
Thanks, can you go to an apple store and retrofit one with the VESA stand? Or its a done deal now that I have it already without one?
I have never actually seen a VESA mount Mac in person, but I believe the opening in the back of the cabinet is different than that for a Mac with a conventional stand. Below is a link to a system that will wall mount a conventional mount so you can have your cake and eat it too. There are others out there that are similar.
