CarPlay & Bluetooth Kenwood DNX-893s

So i have the "flagship" top of the line Kenwood DNX893s.

I downloaded a bunch of music with my subscription to apple music. While on bluetooth the song will pause for no reason. I have to press "play" again and will play for a while but will pause again. Car play exhibits the exact same issue.

I can stream to a bluetooth speaker fine and doesn't do this. My headunit has the latest firmware from kenwood and my iphone7 plus has 10.1 was hoping it would fix issues but nope. Just like 10.0.3 did the same weird glitch.

It may not be the phone. I'm having some odd glitches with my brand-new DNX893S and my iPhone 7. One thing that is happening is that a couple of times Apple Play crashes. If I unplug the phone and plug it back in it works, but the Kenwood has then lost all my Xover settings. I'm gonna blame that on Kenwood.
