Median Function - IOS Numbers
HI,
I tried using the MEDIAN function in Numbers. I checked the help reference which said a Collection could be used & gave the example of a Cell Series (ie. B2:L2). So I entered MEDIAN (B2:L2) & get told this formula contains a syntac error???
The thing is, this exact entry in Microsoft EXCEL would work perfectly & return the median value of that set of discrete numbers. But not in a Numbers?!!
Are you telling me that the "extremely common" median function will not work in Numbers with cell references? Am I expected to laboriously re-enter a long series of numbers from a series in a table, manually, each time I'm called to apply the median function, rather than straightforwardly referencing a range of cells!?
IF So, PLEASE CAN I request this as a feature for future releases, as this seems like an important oversight for anyone using Numbers professionally or for education? Anyone who can help clarify this for me, I'd be very grateful.
