Trouble registering iListen software

I just purchased iListen to use on my Mac Mini, and I cannot get it to register. I start the program and get stuck on the opening "splash" screen with the "spinning beachball." I end up needing to force quit every time. I searched MacSpeech's site, tried every fix they suggested, and emailed them, receiving no answer yet. I'm hoping that someone who has already had this problem and has fixed it can offer me advice.
