transferring purchases to iTunes not working

This seems to be an issue with the latest iPhone 7. I have to manually update via iTunes even though it's already updated on the device (phone).


Has anyone else noticed this and is Apple aware of this bug?

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 10

I'm sorry, no where in what you typed does it say app, my response says that. For all I knew, you were referring to music. I've provided an answer to the reason you cannot transfer app purchases. You don't need to. Apps are available in the app store, and your app data is saved on the phone and the phone's backup. It is not necessary to keep a backup of the app in iTunes, but you can. However, as you have found, it require you do do it manually. It is not a bug, it is designed to do this to reduce size on the devices.
