Q: error when connecting to itunes

When connecting my iphone to itunes I get an error message stating that itunes is getting an invalid response from the device. I have changed USB cabels and ports, restarted my devices and updated my software, still no success...

You did a Restart on your iPhone like this

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

AND also restarted your Mac?
