BootCamp fails to start after upgrade to MacOS Sierra 10.12.1

After upgrading my MacBook (Retina 12-Inch, Early 2015) to the newest version of MacOS Sierra 10.12.1, my Windows 10 Bootcamp won't boot and throws off an ACPI.SYS error. Since the keyboard and mouse does not work in Recovery Mode, I plugged in a keyboard. I did a "Reset Files" and nothing. Before I wipe out my BootCamp partition and start over I wonder if anyone else encountered this problem after updating from MacOS Sierra 10.12.0...

Thanks for your help Loner T! The file version is 10.0.14393.0 and it looks like it was provided by Microsoft on 7/16/2016. That is from right clicking on ACPI.sys in the \drivers folder.

In Device Manager I show an error with the Base System Device under Other Devices.

Error says The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

Correction, the Mac is a MacBook Retina 12-inch Early 2015 (rather than Mid-2014) Further troubleshooting. I reverted back to a clean install of Yosemite. Installed a fresh copy of Windows 10 (Build 1607). Windows did install, after a fashion as it was quite 'glitchy'. Windows booted just fine, but once again Bootcamp setup did not. Although it did install all the drivers, Windows would not use them as the Magic Mouse wouldn't work, and the trackpad and keyboard worked only in a basic fashion. Even using Windows Explorer to install the drivers individually did not make a difference. In Device Manager the only item with a ? is "Other Devices" "Unknown", all other devices indicate properly. I reinstalled the driver for this 'unknown' and immediately the computer reverted to the blue screen 'Problem with your PC". I uninstalled the 'unknown' and Windows booted. Although Windows 10 boots, it does so in a very erratic fashion. Some times booting correctly, and other times going through the blue screen automatic repair. I removed the Bootcamp installation and completed a fresh one using an earlier build (1511) of Windows 10. The Bootcamp setup again did not work properly, and the boot process was the same erratic fashion, however this time I got a different error message. Rather than the ACPI.sys error, now I get "Windows\System32\Drivers\APPLEMNT.sys missing or contaminated" error OXC000007b. I removed this latest install and attempted to install a fresh Windows 8.1, however as neither the trackpad nor keyboard would work at the initial install screen I was unable to do it, so could not verify if this is a Windows 10 problem, or a Bootcamp problem. I've used Windows 10 in Bootcamp on this Mac for over a year with no problems whatsoever prior to yesterday's 10.12.1 update.

Charr328,

Just a point to take note.

Using the Bootcamp assistant, upon installing Windows 10 and subsequent Bootcamp.exe Installation process...

The Bootcamp will install automatically till a point when it will ask you to trust and install "Broadcom Bluetooth Driver/software" - Click NO and Cancel that install.

The bootcamp.exe will continue to install the rest of the drivers and restart.

You will be able to use Windows 10 normally without the bluetooth. The rest of the bootcamp function works.

maserluv - On 10.12.1, can you provide the Product Version from Bootcamp.xml?

charr328- On 10.12.0, can you provide the Product Version from Bootcamp.xml?

Sierra and Windows are two separate OSes and do not interact with each other, except with the drivers downloadable using BC Assistant or Apple Software Update.

Please also provide the version number of drivers on the Windows side which work and do not work.

Sierra 10.12.1 Bootcamp is 6.1.0 (6050.20.1) This is on my MacBook Pro so don't know whether or not it is the same build as Wayne's MacBook.

Sierra 10.12.0 Bootcamp is 6.1.0 (6050.1.3)

I haven't done a complete check of which drivers work/don't work, but will do so later.

Can you check the driver versions on the Windows side? The versions you have provided are BC Assistant versions.

Yup. It appears that the Bluetooth driver is causing the issue. I ran into this reloading BootCamp and it crashing during the completion of the installation. At this point the driver isn't compatible anymore. I'm not sure when Apple plans to update it. Thanks for everyone in getting this thing narrowed down. Hopefully Apple will supply an update soon for the bad driver.

Can't seem to find bootcamp.xml on Windows side. Searched globally and within the Windows\System folders. Did find bootcamp.exe, Product Version 6.1.0.0, file version 6.1.6500.3 and bootcamp.msi, Comments 6.1.6459. Where would I expect to find bootcamp.xml?

So far all the drivers seem to work. Wireless, keyboard (w/backlight), trackpad, display. Still having problems getting the magic mouse to connect, but I recall it took an effort to pair it when I first set up this system a year or so ago.
