BootCamp fails to start after upgrade to MacOS Sierra 10.12.1

After upgrading my MacBook (Retina 12-Inch, Early 2015) to the newest version of MacOS Sierra 10.12.1, my Windows 10 Bootcamp won't boot and throws off an ACPI.SYS error. Since the keyboard and mouse does not work in Recovery Mode, I plugged in a keyboard. I did a "Reset Files" and nothing. Before I wipe out my BootCamp partition and start over I wonder if anyone else encountered this problem after updating from MacOS Sierra 10.12.0...

For anyone stil having the issue that hasn't completely restored everything (it isn't necessary in several cases), this is a definite update issue with a Bluetooth driver on 2016 MacBooks. I contacted Apple and gave them logs from my computer documenting the issue and they are investigating it with a hopeful update soon. Hopefully other people will take the same steps to get progress moving.

As for a temporary solution, boot up into safe boot and head over to the device manager. In there, switch to devices by connection and enable show hidden devices. You are looking for "Broadcom Serial Bus Driver over UART Bus Enumerator". Its parent should be not running (safe mode does this and it's why the computer should even be running now). You want to disable the parent. Should be able to run windows from here after a restart without needing a full restore.

Well I started a new thread as I didn't know this was an on going issue. Just purchased my MBP a1707. Feeling the burn after this. Cant stay on wifi, bluetooth mouse won't connect. Aww the frustration after reading all these post. So there just isn't a real solution as of yet?? I can boot into it just fine. But it seems laggy as ****. But glad to see I am not the only one.

I have the same error and also have an early 2015 MacBook.

Error is normal Windows 10 BSoD screen.

Stop Code: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

What failed: ACPI.sys

I am able to get back in but each time I have to load the boot camp partition in VMware Fusion. First I get a BSoD and then I can boot to Safe Mode the second time. Then I restart and can boot to regular mode but with no taskbar and start button, still in VMware. Then I close out without shutting down and boot the Mac into real boot camp. Finally I can boot into Windows normally. After I restart the whole process starts again. At school so there is not much more troubleshooting I can do now. Will try to repair the boot camp drivers tonight or tomorrow.

I do have Windows automatic updates on and all updates are installed. I am pretty sure the issue is due to power management (ACPI). I started having issues in Sierra 10.12.0 where sometimes Windows would not wake up from sleep and restart instead. Now as soon as 10.12.1 was installed this issue started. agonzalez1010 has the same computer and I believe bootcamp drivers are specific to the Mac so it seems there is a bug for the Early 2015 MacBook in the bootcamp drivers. I reinstalled the bootcamp drivers last night and it did not fix the issue. I also have a 2011 MacBook Air with Windows installed with Sierra 10.12.0 in Boot Camp and it has not ACPI issues, or any issues at all.

I have the same problem. MacBook Retina 12-inch, Mid 2014. I deleted the Bootcamp partition and re-installed Windows 10. The installation worked, but with 2 problems. First, the Bootcamp drivers would not install. Bootcamp setup started to install but then stopped. It didn't lock up, just quit. Second, Windows 10 booted properly the first time, but on the second try it had to run "automatic repair" before booting. Every time since, "automatic repair" has to run before boot. Immediately prior to installing update 10.12.1 Windows booted properly even after updating Windows. It was only after installing 10.12.1 that the problem started.

Apparently no way to downgrade once updated. I don't believe it's a Windows driver problem, as I stated, I booted to Windows, installed updates, and rebooted Windows several times with no issues. I then rebooted to Sierra, updated, and when going back to Windows the problem was there. I've had problems in the past with Bootcamp when upgrading the Mac, so am now planning to revert to El Capitan where I never had a problem with Bootcamp.

I'm a full-time student plus studying a lot for the A+ exams so I can't reinstall or downgrade this Mac during Fall term. If a solution can't be found I will have to continue fighting with Windows on the MacBook and/or use my backup MacBook Air. I'm currently only using Windows for my C# Database Programming class.

I reported Boot Camp feedback to Apple last night and may file a bug and point to this thread if I have time.

I will also be buying the new MacBook Pro in the next month so let's hope Apple tested Boot Camp on them and Windows works better...
