How can I manually enter workout data to Health?

I don't want to carry or wear my phone while I'm doing yoga or exercising. How can I manually enter data, e.g. "30 minutes yoga" or "30 minutes aerobic exercise" to the Health app on iphone? I have My Fitness Pal installed, and Under Armour Record, but workouts I've tried to enter don't show in in my Health data. I'm using iOS 10.1 (and I wish Apple would put the Health app back to where it was when it was first introduced! It was perfect back then, with no useless videos, and a dashboard that actually showed how you were doing as soon as you opened the app!)

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 10.1

Thanks, Jeremy, but that doesn't work.

You can't enter data under Exercise Minutes in them same way you can your blood pressure or heart rate. There is no + to add data on either the Exercise Minutes screen or the Workouts screen.

If you look at "Data Sources and Access" under Exercise Minutes, you'll see "As apps request access to your data, they will be added to the list." Recommended apps listed right in the Health app include Record by Under Armour (which I use) and My Fitness Pal (which I have also used). Neither has come up under Data Sources and Access, and exercise minutes logged using these apps is not recorded to Health.

According to Health, I've burned a whopping 18 calories this week (carrying my phone in my purse while grocery shopping). Boy, will my doctor be impressed!

Hi!

I understand you would like to manually enter data into the Health app. Please follow the steps below to learn how to do so:

Manually enter health data

Want to enter your blood pressure or other health data from a doctor's visit? You can manually add health data to the Health app. Just follow these steps:

  1. Tap Health Data, then tap a health category, like Vitals.
  2. Tap a data type, like Blood Pressure.
  3. Tap User uploaded file.
  4. Enter the date, time, and data for that activity.
  5. When you're finished, tap Add.

Use the Health app on your iPhone or iPod touch
