Where do I store my documents on iPad Pro?

I want to store my documents in iPad Pro on a similar app as Documents on Mac (after having transferred them from Mac). I don't want to use an outside app such as Dropbox.

MacBook, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)

Hi,

You just need to make the iCloud drive app icon visible on your home screen to access all your iCloud documents.

  1. Open the Settings app and head to “iCloud”
  2. Locate “iCloud Drive” in the list, and toggle the switch for “iCloud Drive” to the ON position
  3. Next locate “Show on Home Screen” and turn that to the ON position as well
  4. Exit out of Settings and you’ll find the iCloud Drive icon on the Home Screen of iOS

I think I know what you mean. What I normally do is send the files from gmail or open the email and save it to iBooks app. This is a great way to save directly from emails and to also share.

The iPad assumes that you have wifi. It's like a prerequisite to iPad ownership.

You already have wifi since you own a MacBook. The MacBook includes wifi. It's a matter of configuring it so your iPad can use wifi. Set up you MacBook for internet sharing wifi from you ipad, etherent cable to the internet. Shouldn't make any different whether or not the ethernet port connects to the internet.

With wifi setup, you can use airdrop or lots of third party apps to transfer and store files.

You can / could connect an ipad to an ethernet cable. You will need more hardware to do so if this still works. Ask for details.

What is "Documents on Mac" a link would be handy. There are lots of all in one apps for the ipad.
