Matte Screen for iPad Pro 12.9

Hi everyone. I bought iPad pro 12.9 with the Apple Pencil recently for design sketching and I have been having a good time with it. But I would like to know if I can put on a matte screen protector on it and still work with the ipencil without any problems. please let me know if someone has tried this. Thanks!!🙂

The first day I had my iPad Pro 12.9 I didn’t have a case or a glass screen protector on it. I remember how nice the action was, the touch experience was phenomenal. The following day I got the protective glass and a case and I did notice in difference in the sensitivity - it was just slightly degraded. I had the iPad a good while before I got my Apple Pencil, so I’ve never been able to experience the interaction between the Apple Pencil and an unprotected screen. I’ve got several apps I use when I want to draw or create with the pencil and the apps seem to behave as they should as far as pressure and angle are concerned. Some days I wish I could take my glass screen protector off so I could experience the difference and understand how much the glass impedes or degrades the effectiveness of the Apple Pencil. Since my life doesn’t depend on it, I’ll keep drawing my art through the glass - and probably it will always mock me that my experience isn’t perfect. Anyway, I think that any shortcomings from degradation by a protective glass screen wouldn’t be noticed by the average user.

I was commenting based on personal experience. I know others with iPad Pro's who routinely use screen protectors and when I've tried their iPads I would describe the Pencil experience as noticeably degraded (particularly when trying to use variable pressure to alter drawing affects) relative to my own iPad Pro.

Other's experience may be different, which is why I suggested the OP will need to experiment. What may be unacceptable performance to me may be acceptable to others. I personally do not and would not use anything on the iPad Pro screen as to my feel at least, it does indeed degrade the experience of using the Apple Pencil (as well as the whole iPad/iPhone touch screen experience).
