iphone se voLTE support

Since iPhone SE was released after iphone 6 and presumably has better internals, shouldn't it be supporting volte. I have been trying to use a Reliance Jio sim and only data works, there is no option for calls. If however I try calling, just ends the call and says call ended immediately without connecting. Can anyone help me with it? FYI I am using ios 10.1 update. Thanks
