Trying to get Hemingway piano to work with Logic X

Hello,

I have a Hemingway DP-201 Piano/keyboard, that I'm trying to get to work with Logic Pro X. I have connected the piano to my computer using a USB MIDI cable. Logic seems to recognise it when I plug it into my computer ("Changed number of MIDI inputs") But it isn't playing any notes. Is there a driver I need to install or any bit of software? Help would be appreciated, and apologies if this is a really dumb question.

In case you need to know I am using a mid 2011 iMac running macOS Sierra.

iMac, iOS 10.1

Now create an external midi track and assign it the port that was created when you plugged it in.

After you create the track - open the track inspector and select it from the drop down.

Now if you record enable that track - you should hear yourself play back through you Piano.

If not - make sure the Hemingway is set to receive data on its midi in port...

I just checked the manual for the HP and it looks like it is set to accept midi data by default.

Just make sure the external midi track in logic has its output port set to the HP....
