I have a mac book air and a mac book pro. Both are on the latest beta of OS sierra 10.12.1

I use one at home and one at office. My series 2 watch is updated to 3.1.

Its frustrating that unlock mac with watch works only on one mac at a time. Does this work on multiple macs ?

Yes - Auto Unlock can be used on multiple compatible Macs (mid-2013 and newer, running macOS Sierra) with a single Apple Watch.
