Very slow mouse scrolling speeds after Sierra

Here's what I've observed. I have a Logitech USB mouse. After a certain number of times connecting / disconnecting the mouse (connected to my Macbook Pro through a USB hub attached to a USB-A to USB-C adapter), the scroll wheel switches to one-line scrolling (very slow) instead of three-line scrolling (normal).

If I take the USB mouse and move it to a different USB port on my USB hub, macOS detects the mouse as a new device and the problem is temporarily fixed, but inevitably recurs again. Now, I've run out of new ports on my USB hub.

In a Windows environment, I would just remove and reinstall the device, which would likely resolve the issue. I'll post back here if I make any progress on solving this.

They both probably need Sierra compatible drivers. Check their respective sites.

I have a very similar problem since the Sierra update. My mouse scroll wheel doesn't work at very slow speeds, so doing fine control in apps like Photoshop (zooming in and out for example) is very difficult.

This is happening with different brand mice on two separate computers, in all applications, so I'm pretty sure it's the Sierra update.

Has anyone figured out the solution?

I just installed the new OS 10.12.2 and it fixed the problem on both of my Macs.

So try the install and see if that solves it (And finally I can go back to my 3rd-party mice which I like much better than the Apple ones ;-))
