Predictive Text with an External Keyboard?

iOS has some keyboard-related accessibility features such as Sticky Keys. One thing it does not have, however, is a way to use predictive text while typing on an external keyboard. For those with coordination difficulties, predictive text is often important regardless of the type of keyboard in use.

It is common to implement this in desktop operating systems with add-in software that allows one to use the number keys to select a particular prediction.

I wonder if there is a way to add this feature in the future to iOS so that predictive text can be used when a bluetooth keyboard is in use?
