Why is there a see through photos app icon on the bottom left on my iphone lock screen?

so when i lock my phone on the lock screen theres a photos app icon on the bottom left of the lockscreen, its suggesting this app for what reason, the app is black and white and seethrough. im guessing its something to do with iphone still needs to download photos vids from icloud but my i cloud is on download and keep originals for a few hours now and still icon is there. please any help.

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 10.1

Hi


App icons are shown in that location on your iPhone's Lock screen when you are using an app on other device that works with Handoff (a Continuity feature).


Handoff enables you to start a task on one device, then switch to another and carry on where you left off. To open the app, swipe up from where the icon is shown.
