Thunderbolt 3 to Mini DisplayPort Adapter
Is there any adapter that can connect these two devices?
Apple LED Cinema Display 27-inch (2014) with Mini DisplayPort
to
New MacBook Pro 2016 (Thunderbolt 3 port)
Thank you.

This should do it:

You might look for a third party alternative which may be less expensive.
Ciao.
It looks to me as if the new MacBook Pro's Thunderbolt 3 ports will not support any DisplayPort devices. Here's the blurb from the compatibility page for the TB 3 -> TB 2 connector:
Thunderbolt 3
For Mac models with Thunderbolt 3, you can use a use a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter to connect to Thunderbolt devices like displays and external disks.
Note that although it uses a Mini DisplayPort connector, the Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter doesn't support connections to Mini DisplayPort displays. Also, this adapter supports only one powered Thunderbolt 2 device on a USB-C equipped Mac.
Bummer for those of use with the non-Thunderbolt Apple displays.
You want a USB-C to mini display port adapter (so that you can continue to use the mini DisplayPort to mini DisplayPort cable you already have. These are about $17 on Amazon. Unfortunately no-one seems to make a USB-C to miniDisplayPort cable, although there are USB-C to DisplayPort cables.
You don't want a Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter, because your monitor is not Thunderbolt.

Thanks everyone.
Sorry, my display is the LED Cinema Display (27-inch) with Mini DisplayPort not the Thunderbolt.
On older MBPs which have Thunderbolt ports, these will automatically act as a minidisplay port if so required. My assumption is that will be the case with the USB-C/Thunderbolt adapter. I could be wrong.
Ciao.
Yes, it took me a while this morning to figure out how the Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt adapter would work with my Mini DisplayPort display. But as Paul Jensen1 pointed out it is actually not compatible.
Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapters do not pass DisplayPort signals. You need a USB-C to DisplayPort cable instead.
the mono price adapter does USB-C to [Full Size] display port, so it would work for most DisplayPort displays. But since that Apple display has only a Mini DisplayPort, this US$16.99 adapter from amazon (cited by Ekapon) is the one you need:

There is a cheaper, slightly different adapter, but be careful -- it ships direct from China and takes a month to get to the US.
.
Sorry, No it does not, there is NO soltuion from Apple, and no solution from third party except HDMI 1080p connection
Does not work
