Why does it take so long to receive an itunes email receipt? It took a total of 10 days for me to receive my receipt for a purchase of one song on itunes.

My thoughts ate apple does this to inconvenience the customer to make it more difficult to refund a purchase. It's very inconvenient for some to go to a computer to get on iTunes and get the info needed to process a return request which Apple is notoriously known to deny. In principle the longer the delay for receipt conviences Apple and likely to slip your memory thus more $$ for them. It use too be day 2 you got receipt but apparently the algorithm has been changed to several days. There's no other logic I can apply to this low brow tactic for greater gains.

My second and most recent reply. I've learned the delay is also a cost saving for Apple allowing them to group your purchases together in order to pay less bank fees. Vs charging bank for every .99 purchase. Every transaction w bank a vendor has a small fee to pay.

Lastly, there's an ideology being applied as well which is basically buy now & pay later. This human behavior leads to more purchases. Basically, you don't feel the paying hurt up front convincing some they are getting something for free. This lending some to spend way more based on this tactic.
