ios 10.1.1. problems

anyone else having problems with the new update? My phone randomly reboots (literally, rebooting is pretty much the only thing it does). tried backup, default settings, downgrade to iOS 10.1. But constant reboots makes everything impossible.

I Also had this problem after the update. Screen unresponsive and a flashing from the top of the screen every so often. I could not restore it, I could not shut it off, couldn't answer calls and only could do a hard reset and that still didn't solve the problem. I brought it to my cellular provider and they ran a diagnostic report and said nothings wrong with the iphone and it was a software issue. I took it to Apple and they didn't put it on diagnostic machine and said that its a display issue and they said the screen was bent. Not possible as it has always been in an otter box from the time I bought It and said it would be $325 to fix it. Apple is full of it! They need to take responsibility for there software update issues and the clearly are not. I also have a iPad mini and I'm now afraid to update it to the new software. How do I remove that software update?

I have an iPhone 6s plus. I just upgraded to 10.1.1. now my apps freeze and restart constantly. the phone itself doesn't reboot but now if i open messenger within seconds it closes. if i open maps it does the same thing. if i open music it plays a part of a song then crashes/restarts. oh and now it drains the battery big time. I used to drive around listing to music on CarPlay and the battery would stay at 100%. now it continuously drains as if the lightening bolt wasn't even on and charging.

I have 6s talked to support on phone 2 or 3 times totaling about 5 hours went to Apple Genius twice totaling 4 hours new iPhone 6s still having same problem. I'm like totally done with Apple NEVER had such bad customer service or support from tech it's all about the money from what I see. The iPhone 6s isn't a year old and it's the last update that Apple sent me that was corrupt and messed up my iPhone 6s and my iTunes backup lost everything. Still not working got tired after 45 minutes waiting for support and hung up. Back to Android for me.

I took my iPhone SE to my retailer on November 8th, they send it in for repair and I got a brand new one 3 days ago, with iOS 9.3.5, will not upgrade to iOS 10.1.1. again and wait for 10.2. to be officially released.

If anyone has more insight about what the real Problem is and how the update is able to completely mess up the soft- and apparently hardware, that would be great.

On the Plus side: now that i have iOS 9 again i also have the old sounds which is awesome because i hated the new ones 🙂

In my previous post i explained my similar problem. since then i did a full back up of the phone to my mac then i performed a factory reset on the phone so that everything was erased and reset. then i did a restore. I have not seen any issues since but its only been about 18 hours. since the problems showed up every time i used the phone and now the problems appear to be gone i would say the reset fixed my issue.

You are not the only one. I will be playing music in my car and all of a sudden the music cuts out, for me to discover the screen black for a good 20 seconds before the thinking wheel comes up then asks me for my code to get back in.
Plus I have the issue where it is corrupting my back-ups I do. It makes me want to cry it really does...

I've just spend 4 hours downloading the restore from Factory settings using iTunes, setting up the phone as a new phone, now I'm restoring my latest back-up and crossing my fingers all is good. It will probably take a good 2 weeks to see if this has solved anything at all

This is what I got from @AppleSupport on Twitter.

We'd like to make sure you have a current back up of your phone. That way, we know your info will be safe as we troubleshoot with you. Here's how: http://apple.co/1QbHq1x

After the backup is complete, we'll restore the phone back to factory setting using iTunes on a computer. This will erase all the data on the phone, but you'll be able to move it back to your phone from your backup.

Initially, we'd like to have you set the phone up as new, rather than from a backup; so we can test the issue you've been experiencing.

Here are the steps for restoring: http://apple.co/1L6v9g4 Let us know if you have any questions throughout the process.
