Readability/ drawing issue (Text engine with Sierra when using third party application)

I have encountered readability problem when using Scrivener 2.8 with macOS 10.12.1. I have already contacted to developer. According to Scrivener it’a about text engine in Sierra.

Bug is known: https://www.literatureandlatte.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=36487&p=225035&hili t=highlight#p225035

Basically Scrivener (text engine in macOS) draws ”transparency highlights” (in tables with color in background) after saving and reopening the file with white text background. Ending up with total mess.

This wasn’t the case when editing Scrivener with El Capitan. The feature emerged when migrating to Sierra.

Recent system patch 10.12.1 haven't solved the issue. Scrivener is unable to say when their update is available.

Have others encountered similar problems with highlighting (/transparency) in Sierra?

Most importantly: Is help on it's way? Or do I need to downgrade to El Capitan? Migrating to 10.11 seems to be so far the only plausible option.

This is a user to user forum so there is no way for anyone here to know whether "help is on the way". If it's a Sierra problem one would have to wait until Apple fixes it or downgrade. If you are in a hurry downgrading might be the best option.

Seeing you have filed a bug report there's not much more you can do.
