Sound just completely disappears after 4-5 days using the phone, including alarm sound which is a massive issue. Restarting the phone fixes it for 4-5 days. Seriously it's getting ridiculous now, have to use 2 phones for alarm... Using iOS 10.1 on iPhone 6.

Have you tried to reset the iPhone to the factory settings? Restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to factory settings - Apple Support
I don't think this solution is good enough for me. I have way too much apps and data on my phone that I don't want to lose. It's clearly an issue with iOS 10.
You might try doing a full backup, restoring to faculty settings as suggested by Ella, then restoring the backup. Sometimes odd settings that cause problems get restored with the backup but sometimes they don't. At least that way you won't loose data as long as you check that you have backup enabled for the apps with important data.
