Quick Look, MacOS Sierra and viewing Excel for Mac 2016

Is it just me not having noticed it before? But I am sure it Quick Look used to work better than it does. I am using MacOS Sierra 12.1 and the latest version of Office for Mac 365 (in this case Excel 15.27). I have noticed that if I highlight an Excel file and hit the spacebar (as i would normally), the spreadsheet view that comes up is fine unless there are columns or cells with some kind of formatting applied to them. In this case, Quick Look doesn't display the formatted cell/s but rather the raw number data. This is particularly noticeable with cells containing formulas or things like currency formatting and things like that. Sometimes you'll get a number with about5 numbers after the decimal point or more!

If you open it in Excel, of course it behaves normally and the formatting applies as it should. Can anyone tell me if has always been like this, because I can't recall that.

Maybe it is my advancing years, but either way, it's not very good is it?

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015), macOS Sierra (10.12)

OK, so it seems to work as expected for you. Interestingly, I never see the word quickloo.. beside the open with box offering to open with Microsoft Excel. Is this view achieved in the same way as I did by hitting keyboard space bar?

Here are my offerings: the first shows quicklook ignoring formatting under "Barcode" column and cell 6 down from top.

On the right, under Energy it ignores the 2 decimal formatting, resulting in the long numbers.

The next one shows quicklook ignoring the currency formatting and the 2 decimal formatting too

No £ sign and for instance top price should read £56.10

Maybe it is MacOS Sierra, Maybe it is MS Excel 15.27 for Mac, maybe it is both not playing together well (wouldnt be the first time!)
