Can I transfer my SD (or music) to another iPod?

My iPod has had a **** ton of problems (hence my fault from it being dropped many times) And recently has been dropped and made a hair line fracture in my head phone jack cable band. I was thunking about fixing it since it being a 14 dollar fix, But it's been damaged very badly (in terms like the case having the case pop out and video card messing up constantly, etc). But me being a music freak, ive downloaded over 1.1k worth of song, and has been thinking about getting a new one. To add ive changed he iPod it's self from a 30gb to a 64g. Is it possible that I can transfer songs, all of my songs(hence I don't and never saved them before? Is it a matter of me changing the SD card out? Or the entire hard drive its self,

iPod classic, 5th Generation

iPods use an SD card only if you upgraded it yourself, with an SD card (on an adapter). None originally come with SD card for storage. 64GB (originally 30GB) sounds like a "classic" iPod of some type. (I have some even older iPods upgraded with SDXC card and compact flash card, at 64GB.)

None of the current iPods use storage that you can remove and replace, like old "classic" iPods with a hard drive. If all of your songs are in your iTunes library (on your computer), you just sync your new iPod to your iTunes library. If your songs are only stored on your iPod, you need to off-load them and add to your iTunes library (so that it's complete). You can post back with more information about your situation.

The only way you can do a direct exchange of storage is if you get a used iPod of the same type. If the "classic" iPod model is different, it may use the same type of storage (so you can use your current SD card and adapter), but it uses different onboard software, so you would need to do a Restore (which erases the storage).

As you can see I have taken out all the perviouse saved songs currently in my iTunes that say to existtoo see how many really was, It only came out to be 700 songs that was saved. And if you look here http://prntscr.com/d1y6vc

I've got over 1.1k songs that was to be saved in my iPod. Instead of waisting over 3 hours trying to find out what was missing and on top of that having to find out what was really missing. Is there a way I can just put all these songs from my old iPod to a new one is what I ment, I dont know if it involves with the hard drive and all so.

I think you're saying there are about 700 songs in your iTunes library. On the iPod there are 1117 songs. Not sure I got that right...

Is there a way I can just put all these songs from my old iPod to a new one

There's no way to transfer anything directly between one iPod and another iPod. iPods sync with iTunes running on a Mac or Windows PC. If there are songs on the iPod that are not in your current iTunes library, you need to off-load them to your computer's drive, and add them to your iTunes library, so that it is complete (has all of your songs). You should do this in any case, because it's risky to have your only copy of songs on an iPod; iPod's can break, get lost, or need a Restore due to data corruption.

By design, iTunes syncing is generally in one direction only, from iTunes library to iPod. However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer. If you do an Internet search on something like "ipod music transfer," you should get some links (including an article by CNET on the topic).

NOTE: Songs (and other media) purchased from iTunes Store can be downloaded again at no cost
