Apple TV only shows Computers and Settings

Seems to have happened to a whole bunch of people (presumably just in the US, as mine is fine), just wait for things to get back to normal.

Some are saying that they have been told to change location and then change it back again as a temporary solution. Whilst some are reporting success doing this, others aren't and many that initially reported success are reposting saying they spoke too soon.

i have the same issue! I have tried restarting it and it was still the same so i reset it and it is still the same argh!

I too tried restarting and reset and restore. Wasted my time and now I have to enter all my passwords and settings again.

I Had this problem as well I followed all the advise that was given and nothing worked, then the last suggestion I red did simply change your location to another country then set it back to yours and everything came back.

...since last night I'm having the same problem.I try to reset, plug and unplugged I do not know how many times, threw the darn thing against the wall, changed location then put back,nothing worked, next thing?buy a Roku.

I had the same problem and tried various things like switching country and restoring Apple TV with no luck. I concluded that it was a problem with Apple's servers and decided to wait it out. Everything is now working as it should, but it did take a half day. They (APPLE) should be more forthcoming when there is an outage like that instead of letting us waste our time.

I took your advice and waited it out. All is fine now.

Same issue here - I was helping my in-laws troubleshoot and found that I had the problem myself - suspected Apple services issue - checked https://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ and everything was green there - no help. It was down all night last night, it would have been great if there was some kind of acknowledgement by Apple so you know where you stand. I wonder if Roku has the same kind of issue (Apps disappear if it can't connect to the mothership). Anyway sure enough - it's working tonight.
