Why does maps NOT show 2d buildings in my city (standard view)??

Why does maps NOT show 2d buildings in my city (and other areas) while in standard map view? I use mapping on iPhone for work as a firefighter, and since Apple took away the ability to transfer routes into other routing apps (i.e. Google Maps) with the last update, I'm now needing to use Apple maps more. The ability to see these 2d structures is very important to me. I'm hoping an apple official will chime in on this.

And then I found this while taking the screenshot of Denver...apparently not even all of Denver is fully mapped out.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
From what I understand buildings are not showing correctly on the Maps app. I know how important it is to have the map be as accurate as possible, and we want to help.

If you need to report an issue in Maps

You can report an issue with the following Maps features:

Map

Search

Navigation

Transit

Image quality

You can also add a place and edit your home or work address.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

To report an issue, add a place, or edit your home or work address, follow these steps:

Tap , in the upper-right corner.

Tap Report an Issue.

Choose the issue and follow the onscreen instructions.

To allow Apple to contact you with questions about a reported issue on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > Maps > Follow up by Email. Maps uses your default contact.
