MIDI not working in Logic with RME FireFace 802

Hi,

I have an RME FireFace 802. It's working fine in Logic in terms of audio, but doesn't show up as a MIDI device when creating an external MIDI track.

I suspect it isn't a driver issue, as it shows up and works fine in Ableton Live.

I've tried reinstalling the RME driver software etc. (using latest software from the RME site) to no avail.

OS is 10.11.6 on a Macbook Air, interface connected via USB.

Other MIDI interfaces work without issue in Logic: I also have an 8 port M-Audio Midisport that shows up and works without issue.

Can anyone suggest anything to get this working? Can you force Logic to rescan for MIDI drivers?

Or do I have to do anything else in Logic to enable the MIDI functionality of this device?

Any advice appreciated.

Many thanks.
