Sierra and bluetooth mouse

Same problem. Although prefs delete + re-pairing works to reconnect, the issue keeps reoccurring when I come out of extended sleep (ex: over an hour in sleep), sometime requiring multiple re-pairings per day.

As for history, the mouse in question worked flawlessly prior to Sierra. I reproduced the same issue with two mice from different manufacturers, with new batteries each, and it occurs with both a Microsoft Bluetooth 3600 and a Logitech V470.

See attached animated GIF to see the Bluetooth prefs pane freaking out (realtime recording, rapidly toggling back-and-forth between "Connected" and Not Connected"). Appears it may be a broader issue than corrupted prefs?

Might be corrupted Bluetooth preferences due to the upgrade to Sierra. It can happen.

Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder

Type or copy paste the following:

/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist

Click Go then move the com.apple.Bluetooth.plist file to the Trash.

Then pair the mouse > Set up your Apple wireless devices - Apple Support

Microsoft mouse bluetooth connection failure: Could you kindly update me how you solve the problem.
