SIM Lock...

Hello there, I got iPhone 6 for my birthday. The problem is, that the phone is SIM locked but we don't know who's the operator. How to check that? And what about R-SIM?

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.3

With some networks, all you have to do is put a new SIM card in. So if you switch to say AT&T, taking the T-Mobile card out and putting the AT&T one in fixes the problem.

That carriers support site should say how to unlock your device. If T-Mobile doesn't see it then perhaps the T-Mobile SIM card that is in your phone doesn't belong to that phone.

Doesn't look good but here is their support site.

Most carriers in the UK require that you be a current customer in order to process an unlock request. You would have to get a T-Mobile UK SIM, and activate the phone on their network, then maintain service for whatever period of time they specify before they could process an unlock. There would most likely also be a fee involved. They make the rules, not Apple.

R-SIM and most variants are illegal in many jurisdictions. Can't comment on the laws in bulgaria.
