Apple ID Verification keeps popping up with the old email address. How do I get rid of this.

Apole ID verification keeps popping up on my ipad. It is showing an old email address that is no longer valid. I have checked my apple account and all info looks current.

Hi Suumas,

I understand from your post that you're seeing a message to enter your password to verify your Apple ID. We can work together to get to the bottom of what's happening.

Typically this situation occurs if the Apple ID's primary email address was changed, without first removing the Apple ID from the iCloud settings on your device.

To verify this situation you can try going to Settings > iCloud. If you see your name and old email address listed, then try this:
On the same screen, Tap Find My iPad > Turn off Find My iPad on the next screen.
Upon turning off Find My, you will be prompted to enter your password and it will show your old address again.
Enter your current Apple ID password as you normally would with the newer email address.

If your device signs out of Find My, you can return to the previous page under Settings > iCloud > Tap Sign Out .
