Why can't I comp my audio tracks on Logic Pro x 10.2.4

I'm using the program to create covers of songs with my vocals and backing tracks etc

I've had logic for a few months now.

I can create different takes and can see them when I right click on the recording but I can't open them up below to selectively comp my vocals.

This was the main function I wanted

Here's a picture of what I see. This is a dummy recording btwfor Logic and it seems to not be an option

Please help! Really want to start using the program
