Im interested in a stainless steel Watch, it's not a series 2.

I'm trying to determine if it's a single or duel core processor.

From what I can tell, any stainless steel Watch that is not a series 2 would be a original Watch first generation single processor? Or was there a series 1 stainless version with a duel processor??

Hi

Series 1 does not refer to the original watch (which is instead referred to as "1st generation"). Series 1 models were announced and released alongside Series 2 models. Series 1 shares the same features as the 1st generation Apple Watch and Apple Watch Sport, except for a faster processor.

A stainless steel Apple Watch that is not a Series 2 model is a 1st generation model with a single core processor.

All 1st generation models have a single core processor (S1), including:

  • Apple Watch (1st generation) - stainless steel and space black stainless steel cases.
  • Apple Watch Sport (1st generation) - anodised aluminium cases.

All Apple Watch Series 1 models have a faster, dual core processor (S1P).

Apple Watch Series 2 models also have a dual core processor (S2) with the same speed as S1P, but with the addition of built-in GPS.
