Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Try going into your Apple account online and reset your information and 1-click info. Also make sure your credit card expiration date is correct. I got caught by that when I got my new card and forgot to update my account info.
User uploaded file Do you Twango?

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application, iPhoto dB file backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

I can't tell you whats wrong but all i do is reboot iphoto, or worst case, restart the mac. and the next time it goes through like a whiz. I placed orders for 24 separate books this week and i have had everything imaginable go wrong but almost everything worked after restaring iphoto.....corrupt file, cannot authenticate user, cannot get credit card approval, problem with file transfer. Don't bother to use the RETRY button. email support was courteous and within 48 hours for other matters not solved by restarting.

I had the same problem. I don't believe this has anything to do with "corrupted" iPhoto files (although good idea to have a backup!).

This is due to outdated info in your apple store account. My credit card had expired. The problem is... when you click the "Account Info" button in iPhoto and try and edit your account info there... it doesn't seem to correctly transfer the info over to the apple store. It is confusing because the "Account info" that you need to change is your account info for the Apple Store, NOT the account info for your .Mac account. To fix this do the following:

-Quit iPhoto
-Go to http://www.apple.com/store
-Click on "Your Account" (just below the "Store" tab near top of the window)
-Login to your Apple Account
-Click "Change Account Information"
-You will probably have to enter your password AGAIN (not very Apple-like web interface 😉
-Verify all the account information. Make sure you have a valid credit card number (that was my problem) and make sure to put the "security code" in!!
-IMPORTANT: Make sure to turn ON "1-click ordering". You must have this on to order through iPhoto.
-Launch iPhoto, and try to order your project again. Make sure your Apple userid and password are correct

You should be all set after this. Merry Christmas!!
