I periodically delete and reinstall apps on my iPhone to free up storage, usually Facebook and Twitter. Last night, Facebook would not reinstall, saying the update is temporarily unavailable. Currently, Facebook is listed on the storage page, but the icon is blank and it won't delete and on the app store, I tap open and it doesn't respond. Is there something that can be done to get Facebook back?

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
- Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
- After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
Restarting didn't help, because I did it before posting here.
Facebook is the only app listed on my phones settings on iTunes. I clicked remove and the button changed to will remove. I then synced my iPhone, but unfortunately, I still cannot install Facebook after the sync finished.
Also, my laptop no longer opens a folder containing photos and videos when I plug my iphone into my laptop. Both devices make the noises when something plugs in but that's it. Any thoughts? This latest issue occurred a few hours after I synced with iTunes.
I installed the iOS 10.1.1 update and I was able to reinstall Facebook. The app is working properly now. However, when plugging in my iPhone to my laptop, it still does not recognize one another other than charging the battery.
