Cant Setup Suica (Daily Pass) to my Iphone7plus

Hi,

I am not able to add my Suica Card (daily commuter pass, not only card) to my Iphone7plus,

I have suica pass- daily commuter pass already valid till April next year, paid by credit card.

i searched all possible options mentioned by other user but it didnt work for me,

My region is already set to Japan, I went to JR Ticket office to check whether my date of birth is wrong, but they said it is updated in their system,

I updated to iOS 10.1.1 & contacted to Apple call center of Japan, but they also didnt help me out,

I have family Sharing member, do i need to delete him ?

My japanese is limited, so cant call JR east customer support for this.

Please provide any possible solution.

PS- I already setup my Japanese Credit card without any issue.

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 10.1.1

The card you mention probably is not supported by the issuer for Apple Pay.

Hi Barry,

I went to JR Ticketing office & exchanged my current Suica card to latest with JE309 XXXX XXXX XXXX series no,

But still i am facing same problem,

I check all my settings in iphone like Region to be set to Japan & extra,

Dont know what is problem, still i am searching answer

I was having the same problem until I learned that:

YOU CANNOT ADD A SUICA CARD WITH A COMMUTER PASS REGISTERED TO A NAME IN ROMAJI.

Just go to any JR ticket office and have them change your name to Katakana or similar. Make sure you're using a reasonably new card and that your birthday is correct. The JR staff can sort all of that out quickly and for free.

If you're using a visa credit card, you won't be able to charge or top up via Apple Pay, but you can use the Suica app.

Hi,

Thanks for reply,

I went to JR Midori office & already change my name to Katakana & DOB also correct,

Card also replaced tonnes series of JE XXX,

But still facing same problem,

I created new Suica card without any problem, but problem coming to transfer my pass to wallet,

PS- 1. I have 6 month pass paid with credit card, that might be a problem

2. I have non- Japanese store, but region is Japan,

Due to my limited Japanese I can't call service center to help me out,

Hi,

Thanks your answer really help me,

As I mention earlier I change my name to Katakana but I shuffled my last name to first name in Suica app due to which it didn't allow me to register,

So one more time I went to JR office & shuffled my name,

Whola it worked
