iPhone 7 gets stuck at Call screen. How to fix this?

This happened to me so I shut off my iPhone and turned it back on that should fix the problem

I spoke to Apple regarding this issue, What's odd is the rep I spoke to said he has the same issue the engineer working my case was aware of this issue and said the latest firmware addressed this issue. . I updated to the latest firmware that came out last week. The issue still kept happening but not as much. I'm going to say this is a hardware issue that needs to be address or there's a application on the phone causing this. Apple knows about this issue it seems it's being swept under the rug.

If you are having issue's with your iphone 7 plus display not wakening up report it to Apple. I just upgraded to the iPhone X and I'm no longer having this issue. Hopefully they fix this with a software update or issue a service recall.

Did you manage to find a fix for the above? I have a the same problem on my device, it also happened on ios 10, I waited for ios11 to be launched, hoping it will fix the problem, but it didn't. I contacted the store I bought it from (phone is still in warranty) and they've sent it to be repaired at an authorized Apple Service where they've changed the display and sent it back to me. I've received it yesterday and it only worked for about 3 calls. Now it's acting the same as before: gets stuck when I make a call or answer a call; the other person it's not hearing anything and neither to I.

This is just so frustrating.... Hope someone from Apple sees this!!

The same thing happens to me but the apple store refuses to believe that this is an actual problem. Im glad but also upset that I am not the only person having this problem. My phone is only one year old and I refuse to upgrade to the iphone 8 if they can't even figure out this problem.

I am having the same issue which makes my phone pretty useless. My carrier is replacing the phone but reading all these comments make me unsure that it’ll actually work. I am at the point of wanting to just go back to Samsung. I shouldn’t have to purchase the newest Apple in order for my phone to work.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Mine is a bit different in that the phone app itself locks up. I have to force close the app and even when I restart the app it freezes. Only thing I can do I power cycle the phone then it will work for a day or two.

I have had this problem since Oct 2017. Been told by Apple about 5 times now to do a reset through itunes and DFU mode. Still not working...

Closest Apple store is miles away and i'm reluctant to travel that far to be told to reset it again

I'm also having this problem and tried reboots and restores, it works for about 3 calls then goes back to same situation. Call screen but no ring tone or able to hear the other person. Works on blue-tooth though. Apple really need to resolve this as it's made the phone completely unusable. Surely this makes the phone not fit for purpose and breaks T&C's.

Hard reboot, fresh install, nothing fixes the phone call freezing, IOS 9, 10 and 11. Even if I got a new phone would this fix the problem?

I have had the the same problem for six months now. I cannot make or receive calls - the phone screen freezes (no button function, sound etc). The only way the phone works is if i reset it once a day. I've sent it off to be fixed - but when returned the problem persists. I've had meetings at the Apple Genius bar where they've told me to do a master reset, then another to delete the phone entirely and start again fresh.

But no luck. And each time i go back Apple seem to refuse to accept that it can't be fixed by the above!

I just came from apple like an hour ago. The guy put it in recovery mode and restored it back to iOS 10. Then he just told me to install my last backup. Now my phone works and its back to iOS 10... When I had iOS 11, my phone was freezing also like when I was on apps. It would also freeze when phone calls came in.
