my music app doesn't have a repeat icon anymore

Follow these steps to access the repeat button:

When playing music, at the bottom of the screen, tap on the name of the song:

On the next screen, swipe up a short way:

The Shuffle and Repeat controls are located opposite "Up Next".

Tap on the button to cycle through the options: repeating a single track, the full playlist or no repeat:
