Extra mouse buttons

I wanted to get a cheap mouse to use and I ended up getting a 5 button HP mouse. I was wondering if there is a way to configure the extra buttons to use the expose features.

If HP (unlikely) has a Mac driver for the mouse then you'll probably need it install that to configure any extras. Right now the mouse is using the "default" drive which works with just about any mouse out there but to access anything above and beyond the "normal" mouse function you're going to need a driver specific to that mouse.

I bought a cheap Microsoft 5-button mouse and configured the extra buttons using System Preferences > Dashboard & Exposé. (I didn't have to install any drivers.)

It's the lower-half of the pane ("Keyboard and Mouse shortcuts"), and it shows the mouse options on the right-hand side as drop-down menus.

I tell you, once you're dragging and dropping between different windows and the desktop using only one hand, you'll never look back! It takes a bit of getting used to, but speeds you up no end.

Hope this helps!
