Turkey time zone changed, need patching for Yosemite and El Capitan

Hello Apple people,

“Turkey has announced that it will no longer observe daylight saving time going forward. This change took effect on September 7, 2016. The country had been scheduled to end its DST observance on October 30, 2016. Instead, Turkey will remain permanently set to the UTC+3 time zone and will not return to UTC+2.”

Long story short, Turkey did not change the clock on Oct30th. Turkish systems changed time zone from UTC+2 to UTC+3 time zone. Microsoft has published patch for Servers and computers. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3192321. Windows machines are patched and not having any problem with time zones etc.

However, Apple didn’t publish any patch for below Sierra versions (Sierra as latest version of OS has built-in Istanbul as UTC+3)

We contacted with Apple Turkey office, they haven’t reply us yet! I guess they are still digesting the problem...

Our MAC machines are all in Yosemite and El Capitan those are having a lot of conflicts with calendars, especially, all our VPs has Macbook Pro suffering time zone conflict, even we change manually time zone to UTC+3, then internal Istanbul invites are conflicting.

Are Apple engineers aware of this problem which is affecting huge number of MACs with Yosemite and El Capitan reside in Turkey?

We need urgent patch update for those OS versions. We are in enterprise, Sierra version have not been tested fully to deploy worldwide by corporate.

Thanks,

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)
