iPad Air 2 screen rotation issue after loading iOS 10.1

Hi Folks,

my iPad Air 2 was updated to iOS a day after it was published, so far there was no issue. Since the latest iOS patches iOS 10.1 and 10.1.1 my iPad Air 2 stops intermittently from rotating the screen and the only way to get the screen rotating again is to reboot the device.

I recall an similar issue after updating to iOS 9.

Does anyone have the same issue?

If yes, is there any other workaround or, does reloading the whole device help?

Thank you for your assistance.

Regards

J

Hello number1,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand from your post that after updating to iOS 10.1 and 10.1.1 the screen on your iPad Air 2 intermittently stops rotating and you have to reboot it for it to work properly again. I know how important it is for your screen to rotate like it should. I recommend following all of the steps from the article below:

If the screen doesn‘t rotate on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Best Regards.

Hi Alex_h1,

thanks for your feedback, that is what I checked before posting my question, the only thing what I didn't do yet, is contacting the support, since the iPad was working perfectly until the latest iOS was installed.

So I am wondering if someone else has this issue, since the issue only exists after loading 10.1 or later.

Best Regards
