Hi Bigredyankee,

I understand you're not seeing the balloon animation in iMessage if you have more text in addition to "Happy Birthday" when you send it. I know how fun it is to be able to customize your messages, I use the iMessage effects all the time, so I'm happy to help. The animations for "Happy Birthday", "Congratulations", and "Happy New Year" are only automatically sent if that is the only text sent in the message, you are able to add punctuation. If you wish to add an animation like balloons to a message that has more text than "Happy Birthday" you can do so by following these steps to Animate messages .

If you'd like to learn more about the other message effects available check out these links:

Use message effects with iMessage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Use Digital Touch on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Cheers!
