How to control the iTunes of a Mac Desktop from a Macbook ?

My music is on a drive connected to my mac Desktop, that is connected to my stereo.

Of course, I can control this iTunes through the Remote (the apple app) for iOs (iphone, ipad).

How can I do the same thing from a MacBook that is connected by wifi to the mac Desktop ?

The Remote app in only iOs and does not run on a macBook.
