Apple Watch stopped tracking calories (Move ring)

Hi,

I was a happy Apple Watch user, till yesterday when it stopped counting my calories in the Move ring.

Tried all of the recommended fixes like: restart, unpair, recalibrate, but nothing is helping.

My solution was maybe it's a bug so I worked out in a 3th party app to hit my Move Goal, and hope it will be good next day.

...but it didn't fixed itself. After all of this still today it shows only 2Cal/500Cal (I don't know why "2") it's counting my steps, Stand ring and also the Exercise ring.

Yesterday I went for a run to recalibrate it and it showed 0Cal burned in a 5km run! Also today I tried to recalibrate it with a Outdoor Walk, but it's still showing 0Cal in the Workout app.

So please someone help me, I love this thing because of the motivation it gives me with the Streaks and Activity rings and now I'm worried that it will be lost.

Thanks for helping.

You're most welcome!

It certainly will not hurt to unpair and re-pair your watch:

It may be worth double-checking your personal information again afterwards, before resuming your activities.

Hi

The following steps may help:

Activity estimations depend, in part, on your personal information. To check that this is accurate - and to update it over time:

  • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > Health > Edit - tap and adjust items, then tap on Done.

If you have not yet done so, also update your iPhone and Apple Watch to the latest software, starting with your iPhone:

Restart both your iPhone and your watch:

Otherwise, the following further steps may help:

  • On your iPhone in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > General > Wrist Detection - check that this is turned on.

If Passcode is turned on, check that you are unlocking your watch after placing it on your wrist.

  • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > Privacy > Motion & Fitness - turn Fitness Tracking off.
  • Restart both devices by turning both off together, then restarting your iPhone first
  • Return to the Fitness Tracking setting and re-enable it.

Thanks for the reply Jonathan,

I checked my Personal setting and you are right, I somehow edited my weight to "0,7kg" with a 3th party app by mistake.

I fixed it, erased that ridiculous data point and restarted both iPhone/Watch, but still no update in the Move ring (2/500Cal) after few brisk walks

Should I unpair it?

Thanks for helping you are true savior.
